The LA Lions may be a new team, but they’ve already been given the blessing of LA’s newest grassland district.
LA’s largest park, L.A. Park, has just been given a $20 million renovation, which will make it the first of its kind in the United States.
The L.E.D.D., which is known for providing access to the park for LA’s homeless population, said the project will create new jobs, create more affordable housing, and reduce carbon emissions.
L.F.D.-backed environmental groups were quick to point out that the money from the new park will go toward building a new playground, which was created specifically for LA Lions players.
The Lions are not the only NFL team that has taken advantage of L.L.D.’s newly-minted funds.
The Philadelphia Eagles, who are building a $300 million facility at the Meadowlands in New Jersey, also are using L.
D’s money to make a new stadium, as well.
The New York Giants and Pittsburgh Steelers also use L.M.
D funds to make stadiums.
