In the Northern Alps, the landscape can be divided into two distinct categories: the northern and southern ones.
The northern grasslands are usually found in the Alps and are dominated by the Alps-like ridges, and are characterized by the high elevation of the surrounding ground.
The southern grasslands consist of the mountains and the valleys that run along the eastern border of the Alps.
There are also the flat, open plains of the North-East of the country, and a lot of forests along the border of Austria, Belgium, Germany, France and Switzerland.
In this article, we will discuss the most important characteristics of the grassland landscape and how to name it.
